The hotel, situated in a Grade II listed building, forms part of the Royal Terrace running along the promenade, so named after visits by Princess Caroline, wife of the Prince Regent, in 1803. Bursting with history and character, the hotel soon became a magnet for fashionable society, attracting wealthy patrons from far and wide. Today, the Royal Terrace is the only surviving Georgian Terrace in the town, built more than 220 years ago in the 1790s.

My partner and I stayed for our anniversary. We both loved the room/suite with
verander with beautiful view. Loved the boutique style in this grade 2 listed building.
Debbie was very welcoming and helpful too. We definitely would stay again.
